Gayle Larassa was unanimously approved to be released from an Arizona prison on January 30th due to her imminent death - she is waiting on a signature from Gov. "I hate waking up here wondering how much time I have left and if I'm actually going to get to see my children and family before God brings me home. Mom what's the purpose of a clemency hearing if it just gets ignored by the governor?"

"And as for all the letters and contact our family and friends have tried to have with Governor Duecy, does he even respond or does he just ignore us. Public Officials are supposed to care about their constiuences and be helpful aren't they?"

"I hate waking up crying missing you and not being there helping YOU through this painful disease. I again wonder why bother having a clemency board, pay the board a salary and have them make life changing decisions, for the governor to simply ignore, not respond,"

"and what seems like not even care we there I live or die, or get to see my family before it happens. I was given 4-6 months to live, I'm in the beginning of the 5th month, why am I still alone Mommy? Why doesn't this man put himself in our shoes."

"I know I broke the law by being in possession of drugs, but the clemency board believes that I deserve a chance to be home getting treatment with my family, why won't he sign the papers Mom?"

"And I feel terrible always throwing it all on your shoulders Mom, but who else do I turn to when I wake up sad, lonely, and scared out of my mind? I love you Lady, I'm sorry to keep dumping my feelings on you. I know you're scared too..I love you Mom....thanks for being my mom"

Governor @dougducey's Board of Executive Clemency unanimously approved Gayle for release January 30th - all he has to do is sign a paper and she'll be able to go home and be with her family in her final days
