Connectivity is one of the main pillars that are defining life in the 21st century. People easily claim that the world has become a global village. So why are people burning 5 G towers even in developed countries, how much less developing ones?
People complain when their bus is minutes late, when their virtual meeting or video download buffers etc, Yet cannot seem to understand the push for 5G. Well bad news for you, some are already talking 6G. Guess who has turned 6G on? https://telecoms.com/503142/consensus-on-6g-is-gradually-forming/
Could it be that the name is the problem? “5G”, stands for “fifth generation of mobile telecommunications technology,”.
1G (analog cellular)
2G (digital cellular)
3G (data-driven comms)
4G (Long term evolution LTE)
5G, the next iteration of 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) networks, will enable significantly greater mobile speeds to enable real-time connectivity for mission-critical and potentially lifesaving devices and applications.
5G will also provide truly global connectivity even to remote areas of the world whether on land, in the air, or at sea — even the forests of the remotest places you can think of! It will connect billions of Internet of Things (IoT) devices from watches to microwave ovens,
heating at homes, phones, TVs etc. The main difference between 4G & 5G, in technical terms, is the wavelength that 5G utilises. They are previously inaccessible high-frequency millimeter radio waves between 30 and 300 GHz. Known as “mmWaves”, which were not used in the past due
to high costs, a lack of practicality & strict government regulation; the downside of using these waves, which allow for great speed, is that their higher frequencies have more difficulty to penetrate objects. 2.4 GHz WiFi is best for a home environment,
while 5 GHz is best to operate in high speeds in an optimal network environment. 5G will be the key to smart cities, because for the idea of the smart city to reach its true potential, the crucial element is 5G. Even those that enjoy travelling to Dubai & buy houses there (Dino)
are spreading the conspiracy, while claiming in a video, to have done extensive research! Incredible. Cities are already smarter, cleaner, & safer places to live. You will do well to update yourselves & make sure you're employable in the next revolution.
Of course there are security challenges ahead. Wipro’s report outlined five network components in ensuring 5G security:

A secure edge
A secure SDN controller
Proactive analytics
Hypervisor & container security
