I rarely read contemporary fiction but I suddenly have time on my hands. I would like to read a book, let's say written in the past 10 years, that is a page-turner but written in exemplary prose. Mystery or thriller type stuff probably. Good sentences a must. I'm very particular.

To be clear: I do not want to read literary fiction. I want a pulpy paperback, I just don't want to cringe at the quality of the writing. Thanks
