1) What is the appeal for wanting to be the new general manager of the Bulls?

Ignoring the "history of MJ" and all that good stuff, the Bulls are a mess but have some things going for them.

The Bulls don't have much salary committed beyond next season.
2) Plenty of cap flexibility beyond next season. A new GM will not feel stuck or lack flexibility to improve roster for long.

Bulls also own all their 1st moving forward. Out of all the mistakes GarPax has done, they haven't thrown away their 1st in bad trades.
3) Still have a young core of White, Lavine, Markkanen, and WCJ. While yes it needs more, there is some foundation there to build around.

The GM will get to handpick their own head coach, as ownership seems open to parting ways with Boylen despite possibly still having to pay.
4) Most importantly the new GM seemingly will have full control to rebuild how he sees fit. Whether that is starting over, continuing to build around current core, or maybe even aggressively looking to add star through trades.
5) The Bulls situation should allow any candidate to put their plan into place right away, going into next season. Very little restrictions seems to be present. As long as the Bulls are fully on board with this, they should be able find the guy they are looking for.
