My fellow artists: If you keep shitting on @Stageit your fans will too. We are beyond lucky to be in business right now. We are so fortunate to be able to help you and your fans connect and for you to make money. Nobody wants to hear me blame others--least of all myself.
But this is a matter of transparency so I hope you& #39;ll forgive me. When our site got hammered with traffic 3 weeks ago @AskPayPal first flagged us as fraud. That was fixed. Then @GlobalPayInc held funds because of & #39;fraud& #39; and now they& #39;re experiencing tech issues on their end.
@IBMWatsonMedia provides our video streaming and they have now told us that they are experiencing issues with audio getting to viewers on ios devices (iPhones/iPads). @awscloud blocked our emails because the increase in volume triggered SPAM alerts (mostly fixed now)
@WellsFargo has told me to come into a branch to fix a payment issue, yet there are no branches open where I live. All of this said, these companies are all made up of people just like you and me who are doing their best in these challenging times.
They have all tried to help and they& #39;re doing what they can. And I hope that artists and their fans will just take a moment and reflect: What is the outcome you want? What else can I do to help manage your expectations here?
We& #39;re a company of 2 people with 3 extra amazing souls that have jumped into help because they want to support artists. We are adding more resources by the day and we& #39;re doing everything we can to try to meet the demands. And we know it& #39;s not enough.
It& #39;s tough times for everyone. Including us. So artists, BEFORE you play on @Stageit I& #39;m asking you to please manage the expectations of your fans. Our site is being held together with duct tape right now. FB/Insta/YouTube are multi-hundred billion dollar companies.
Their broadcasting capabilities are most definitely more robust than ours. But they don& #39;t care about artists like we do (you know this or you wouldn& #39;t be using our service). So please help us help you. Shitting on us to your fans will not be good for any of us.
