I promised an answer to the questions I posted two days ago. This is the first thread, it seeks to bring to light appropriate answers based on rightly divided scripture. 2 Timothy 2:15, Hebrews 6:1-2, Ephesians 1:17-18
If after reading this, you still don’t agree or fully understand, pray for the Holy Spirit to grant you a revelation that will bring about renewal of mind 2 Timothy 2:7, Colossians 1:9, Romans 12:2🙏🏼
What is salvation? You can be saved from many things, but ultimately, why was Christ sent? Salvation is God’s gift to the fallen man, the fruit of the work of redemption wrought on the cross by Christ Jesus. At the cross there was a substitution and God exacted justice
On Christ to show mercy to sinful man 2 Corinthians 5:21. Salvation is a gift of God and an act of mercy Matthew 9:13.
By virtue of the exchange, God’s attention is on His Son, and not you. It is not about what you do or don’t do, it’s about what Christ has done. Remember that it is the Son that is judged, because you didn’t die, Christ did. John 5:24. Christ’s purpose on earth was never to
Condemn you, but to save you John 3:17, John 8:10-11. God does not condemn you, so why should you or anyone condemn you? Your focus should be on your response to the salvation you have obtained John 3:18-19, Romans 8:33-35
How is one saved? Romans 10:13-15 tells us salvation comes by hearing and believing in the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is the gospel that saves Romans 1:16. You accept that Jesus is the Son of God, you believe He came to die for your sins and was raised from the dead
By God and you confess His lordship over your life. Now, salvation is both instant and progressive. The very instant you are saved, there is a regeneration and a reconnection between your spirit and God. The Holy Spirit is the seal of that assurance to your salvation, even
Salvation of your soul and body. Ephesians 1:13, 1 Peter 3-9; we receive the fulfillment of God’s promise if we hold fast. Salvation is solely by grace through faith, you believe to be saved, you don’t work to be saved. Titus 3:4-7
Philippians 2:13 talks about working out your salvation with fear and trembling. This does not support salvation by works, that’s not rightly dividing scripture. Working out means making manifest what Christ has done and what you’ve accepted by faith. It is telling the world
God has made me righteous this enabling me to live righteously. Hence, I’m working it out for you to see with fear of God and with trembling. Now, the continuation of that verse tells us it is God who works in us both to will and to do if His good pleasure. It is God that works
In us. Our part is rendering ourselves worthy and willing vessels for Him tow orkt through. Philippians 2:12-13, Ephesians 2:8-10.
After salvation, what’s next? Titus 2:11-14. We are to live lives worthy of the calling. The grace that saved us is the same grace that empowers us to live godly lives. You might occasionally stumble James 3:2, but it is not an end to your salvation
Remember God does not condemn you 2 Corinthians 7:10. Hebrews 12:1, heaven is cheering you on, endeavor to overcome your weaknesses. Whenever you stumble, turn to Christ who is able to wash you Ephesians 5:26. Don’t try to the Lord’s work for Him, it is Christ that does the
Cleansing and the loving, not you. Now there will be some who although saved, in eternity will have nothing to show. They will still be saved if they don’t fall away. 1 Corinthians 3:13-15. To lose the salvation you accepted and believed to receive, you must reject and denounce
That salvation John 3:18, 1 Corinthians 1:18. We refer to this as apostasy. Hebrews 6:4-6 talks about a group of people who once knew Christ and were in H I’m but have denounced Him. It is impossible for them to repent.
Lukewarm people have not lost their salvation because they can still repent Revelation 3:16-19. The apostate cannot repent because his conscience has been seared 1 Timothy 4:12. Hebrews 9:14 lets us know it is by our conscience that God chastens us and the Holy Spirit convicts
Us of righteousness as believers. Losing your conscience makes it quite impossible to repent. You have to see you’re sick to accept you need healing. Bringing to life a dead conscience necessitates crucifying Christ again, which should never happen
If you’re living in sin, REPENT. Proverbs 24:16 when you fall, rise. Making falling a lifestyle is a pathway to apostasy. If you see someone living or struggling with sin, restore them, don’t condemn 2 Timothy 2:25, 2 Corinthians 7:10. We want to say at the end of the day
2 Corinthians 7:9. How do we make sure we don’t fall away? Be diligent in the things of God 2 Peter 1:10, 2 Peter 1:5-10. As you follow through, you prepare yourself for Christ’s coming 2 Peter 3:14-18.
Don’t be saved and end there Hebrews 5:12-14. Grow on to maturity Ephesians 2:20-21, Ephesians 4:11-13 2 Peter 3:18. As you grow, help others grow. The key to maturity is consistency. It’s a constant battle. We grow, we are not grown.
Like Paul, press forward toward the higher calling of God in Christ. So conclusion😂 once saved, forever saved. You lose your salvation when you reject it, not by something you do or don’t do. Christ’s sacrifice is more than enough, but f you reject it, He won’t force you
