PARTYMOBILE - PARTYNEXTDOOR
The album was really good if you think about the overall concept of it. The album follows the breakdown in a relationship between Party and his significant other so we'll breaking it down track by track in this thread.
1. NOTHING LESS
The track sees Party making a promise to his woman that she will get nothing but the best of him and he acknowledges his infidelity in "the city" and promises to never go back there. Party promises to change for her to preserve the relationship.
2. TURN UP
While Party acknowledges that his commitment to not go back to the city, but he has no issue flying a girl out of the city or forgetting his commitment in Vegas. Party notes that he "can't bring sand to the beach" because the females he's around will hate on her.
3. THE NEWS
Party's girl finally gets the news of his antics from her girls & he tells her what's news to her isn't to him. He knows that she don't deserve a guy like him, he feels "tied down" & he simply "wants out". In the outro, shawty tells party she's used to his bad side.
4. SPLIT DECISION
Party tries to reconcile with her but the trust has been lost & she tells party that all she need is her girls who informed her about his antics. She has to make a split decision between her friends & Party but chooses Party as seen in the next track.
5. LOYAL
Party's verse sees her tell Party that he doesn't need to "raise war" with her friends although he is bad but he's a star in her mind. Party attributes her loyalty to his wealth although the pain she feels on the infidelity goes away when she's tipsy and Party is around.
6. TOUCH ME
She asks Party to touch her and remind her of the days of when she had Party "hypnotized". The outro is her asking Party how come he don't act like he love her no more and he don't touch her anymore. It's been a while since she's felt Party in that way.
7. TRAUMA
It would seem Party recognizes that she's one of a kind and he'll never meet someone alike. He knows that he needs her in his life even though he's tried to get over her . He didn't have this realization when he was cheating but he does now.
8. SHOWING YOU
Party sets out to show rather than tell her of his love. He wants to "get back every day" cause it means so much to him. Party acknowledges that he misses her touch as much as she misses his. He also applauds her faithfulness despite the heartbreak he has caused.
9. EYE ON IT
He battles with loyalty but knows that "one & only one" can be his "only". He has agreed with his mistress to be just be friends. He admits he still thinks of his no. 2 & her dances but he doesn't want to lose his boo. He don't understand why he still thinks of her.
10. BELIEVE IT
On here, Party toys with the idea of telling her his side of the story as Rihanna sings that he should make her believe it's the truth. Party asks if she'll punish him if he spills it all. In the 2nd verse, he aims to show her importance to him & his friends & fam.
11. NEVER AGAIN
He finally admits he's been thinking of someone else & he knows that his girl has did all she could. She replies in the verse by saying she won't "go public with all of the lies" but she won't stick around either. Party tells her that he's always choose himself.
12. PGT
IN PGT, Party finds the mistress to help him get over his girl and he acknowledges she "came from the grave" from a relationship that he deaded. He describes her as "ghetto" but also seems to think that's all he "really need".
13. ANOTHER DAY
The girl Party has taken home & tried to have a relationship with is just not working for him. Party rejects her advances for sex by replying "there's always another day" & answering her questions by saying he "wanna to go to bed". Party clearly not over his ex.
14. SAVAGE ANTHEM
Party explains in the chorus that she shouldn't wait for him to change, he won't. He uses verses to tell her that the truth he gave her in "NEVER AGAIN" wasn't even the half of it. He admits he gave her "the hope" in "NOTHING LESS". Lastly "it's out in the open"
PARTYMOBILE
Might not have been his best album but it's a conceptually strong album and he deserves his props for that. Knowing the story-line makes it easier to consume as a listener. Every song had a purpose. Thank you @partynextdoor for a great album.
