#roamcult- anybody using @RoamResearch for storing recipes? How do you do that? I was thinking if I tag individual ingredients I might be able to set up queries that filter recipes by the ingredients I currently own but not sure.
I would need to be able to specify in the query that the ingredients I own can be present but don’t each individually have to be, but the recipe would have to include only ingredients I already own/identified in the query.
Ideal version of this would probably show me all recipes that include any of the ingredients in the query and sort the results by how many of the recipe’s ingredients aren’t present in the query. Sorting results isn’t currently possible though.
This sort of query probably makes a decent case study for how queries do/should work in Roam.
Regardless of whether I do queries in this way, Roam would probably make an incredible “cookbook” for myself. Might even make sense to have a public recipes database that anyone can use/import via json into their personal databases.
Only challenge with having this be a public thing is I would really want to first establish a consistent set of formatting conventions for how to add recipes. Tagging ingredients, tagging necessary equipment, etc. but doing it in a format that makes queries crazy powerful.
