Corona , Social Distancing and Brahmins:

The one advise which every doctor gave us to escape from corona is Social Distancing. Maintain a distance with other human being so that your chances of getting affected will reduce. 1/n

All over the world people considered it as a scientific advise and started following it. But only in India it was connected with mythology , manu , caste and untouchability. And the connection was promoted by Brahmins in social media. 2/n

This phenomenon didn't start after the advent of social media. This is how Brahmins operated throughout history. 3/n

This can be explained with the help of our Beloved professor MMS Pandian. In his book Brahmins and NonBrahmins he writes about two important factors on which Brahmins built their hegemony. 4/n

1. First thing is Brahmins wanted to become modern citizen. They wanted to learn english , act like Englishmen and wanted good name from British so that they can be part of the government. 5/n

2. But at the same time they also wanted to be a Brahmin who was still conservative , reads Vedas , follows caste system , untouchability. Because they don't want to lose the power they got as a Brahmin in this society. 6/n

So for this balancing act they started doing so many things. They conducted conferences like Westerners , they wrote in newspapers , they wrote books in English.
All these efforts ate just for balancing between modernity and conservativeness. 7/n

In 1925 Jagadeesa iyar wrote a book named " south india and customs " , the whole purpose of the book is to show caste and untouchability as a scientific and modern thing. 8/n

He wrote these lines about untouchability and caste :
The indian custom of observing distance pollution etc has hygienic and sanitary conditions in view.

so they keep themselves at a safe distance which has been fixed by the sages of old after sufficient experience and experiment. So after almost 100 years the Brahmins tried to do the same thing when Corona came. 10/n

All these stories and thoughts are made by the people who hold positions in different instutions , colleges , universities and Organizations. So automatically it gets an intellectual touch and everyone even from shudra caste starts supporting the theory. 11/n

Corona or No Corona , the only aim of Brahmins is to control the indian society with theri culture. They will do everything to maintain the cultural hegemony. 12/12
