The U.S. and the Guaido faction of the Venezuelan opposition is trying a coup through various simultaneous strategies. At the moment when they believe they've inched closer, they'll be looking to control/shut down communication between Caracas and the international community.
Social media is a central part of this plan and they've already taken steps to exert control over information regarding Venezuela online. That is what we've witnessed over the past year. They're taking further steps now to regulate information to prevent (continued)
Further steps are being taken by the Washington-Guaido alliance to a) prevent Chavismo from communicating within its ranks when destabilization takes place b) ensure that information is blocked to the exterior to prevent gestures of international solidarity or counter-measures
Coups, particularly in 2020, are a PR job requiring PR before, during and after to legitimize and seal the narrative. A coup in Venezuela would have no legitimacy internally so they'd need to fabricate scenes of support for a change of power. They have this prepared.
On key days of Venezuelan attempted coup, the most amplified voices on social media narrating the events have been U.S. lawmakers. This includes:

Jan 23, 2019
Feb 22-23, 2019
April 30, 2019

On these and other days, U.S. politicians were incorporated into the coup strategy.
This remains a U.S. coup. Guaido's opposition faction are secondary ground actors. The fascist section of Venezuela's opposition, is a minority of the opposition. When Guaido gets 10k retweets on twitter, those are artificially-inflated numbers.
There are people at twitter and on other social media sites who have insider info on the agreements/partnership between these platforms and the U.S. govt + Guaido's opposition faction. If you have this information, you should come forward. That would be maximum whistle-blowing.
