i went on an attraction thing when i was about 11, it was some kind of mining thing. i got suited up with a mining helmet and a belt to hold the battery to power the helmet's light, it was very heavy

there were many other kids around my age going down with me too

we descended on a lift which was jittery and looked very old, like old metal n stuff and oh my god, there were like 30 kids all cramped on this small lift thing and i was so uncomfortable

as i went down i saw some lights shine through the protective mesh of the lift thing

when we arrived, it was so weird. it was a mine, obviously but it felt surreal being deep underground in these old mines but i thought it was really cool, shining my heavy ass helmet on old support frames and mine rails

after that, we just toured through the mine

looking at certain things like ventilation and stuff, it got very cramped in some places

it was such a weird experience, and 5 years later i realised it gave me hella made in abyss vibes
