To further support the government in its fight against Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), BSP will remit P20-B as advance dividend to the govt.

The advance dividends constitute 87% of the estimated total dividends for 2020. BSP remit the P20-B on the same day thru direct credit to the Treasurer of the Philippines-Treasurer Single Account, which is maintained with the BSP.

ADB has previously approved a $3-million grant to procure medical supplies. This grant will be spent to establish a “new, modern laboratory with diagnostic equipment, testing kits and supplies” at Jose Lingad Memorial Regional Hospital in City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

The P10 billion represents the total dividends of the Philippine Ports Authority (P4 billion), Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (P3 billion) and Manila International Airport Authority (P3 billion) for calendar year 2019.
