Political twitter is so toxic and cutthroat to the point that people have become completely unaware that they’re even doing it

Regardless of political opinion; on a human level, why is “fuck off ____” something that’s even acceptable to reply to someone? Why can you not click on a single MP or political correspondent’s tweets without a thread of deeply personal insults and attacking swings?

Don’t give me any of that “be kind” shit if you’re someone who takes pleasure in lurking in reply threads waiting to take unnecessary swings at people

Also, if you’re offended by this thread and/or compelled to reply, please consider that you’re probably one of the people I’m referring to. Something to think about.
