honestly, zoom, you just eliminated what was the most appealing about you: hi tech enough for our savvy members and low tech enough for someone's grandma to call from her landline.

ugh.
OK, so the zoom change applies to free accounts and pro accounts that have just 1 user. they basically turned the waiting room on by default (you can turn it off).

AND they are requiring a password in addition to the meeting number (which you can't turn off).
The work around, if you want to turn off passwords, is you have to add a second user to your pro account. It costs another $15/month, but to me is worth it to prevent HOURS of retraining people.
it's not super intuitive how to add another user without going BUSINESS for like $200/month. but thanks to @CharlotteElia here's how to do it:
Go to Billing then Current Plan then Add/Edit.

You can then change the number of users to 2.

Added benefit is now you have a personal pro zoom for non business business. or you can give it to another leader who now has a pro zoom.
finally, if you want to be part of a facebook group working out these kinks for churches, go here https://www.facebook.com/groups/zoomchurch

it's been really helpful and @breyeschow is managing it so it stays respectful and on point.
You can follow @grammercie.
