"How to accurately and efficiently manage you data this Quarantine period for maximum usage and efficiency." – A developer's guide to Surviving this trying time.

Notice how many times I've used the word 'Efficient' here !?

A Thread.
Firstly avoid binge watching movies if you can. Those ones take the most data sometimes and most devs use that to pass the time. Your data will just end in tears if you do that.
Also, reduce the media quality of all your apps on your phone as well, possibly the lowest setting.
Avoid auto download from apps like WhatsApp, etc. Avoid unnecessary chats, and unnecessary involvements, because most of them will end up leaving you data-less. If you're using certain packages on a project, download only the ones you need. Don't pull every github report you see.
Avoid video calls as much as you can, while taking into consideration how to efficiently reply any message that might need a reply. Most importantly, and I say this from an Angular point of View (get the reference ?😉) don't click on every link you are sent. It's not efficient.
Also, limit the "Free Courses" you see/download on e-Learning sites this period to a very important, select few. These sites (don't want to mention names 'cos we devs know them all😏) offer you free access to all their courses to help your current isolation predicament. But...
...But do they offer you the required data needed to view such courses.? No!. And for certain countries –Nigeria for example– where enough data is a luxury that many can't afford, then it is not only inefficient but counter productive to take those courses at this moment.
Lastly, don't only share funny videos and pictures etc on this platform. Share this Thread so other people can also learn from it and help a soul out there.

Thanks for coming to my pep talk.

Felix out!
