Africans are angry and rightly so for attempts at vaccine trials.
Those French scientists/racist havent helped either.
However, when we cry, we still see, the same BCG vaccine that was talked about,is to be tried in Australia among 4,000 health workers in the coming days.

Infact, Countries like Germany, Holland, Greece and the UK have all made plans to go through the same.
This stems from observation that countries with routine BCG vaccinations have had lower incidences of COVID morbidity/ mortality.

BCG is not just limited to preventing TB, it has other roles in viral infections, treating bladder cancers etc, infact a study done in Africa found that preterm infants given the BCG survived infections better than those not vaccinated and higher survival rates.

Maybe, just maybe might be why we havent have has much disaster as the rest of the world in Africa.
The supervisor in Congo, Dr Muyembe, was the pioneer whose work led to the discovery of the Ebola cure after >40 years of reasearch. He has devoted his lifetime for the just cause.

If at all this vaccine has a potential to help, the due diligence should be on our leaders/scientists ensuring that the manner this is carried out is transparent and does not translate to guinea pig experiments, the last thing we need is another "Trovan" madness.
