Not an objectionist, but I have plenty of objections to the fundraising campaign launched by Sudan's PM Dr. Abdallah Hamdok, here are a few of them:

1. It is unclear to me at least what is the aim of the campaign. Usually, campaigns such as this one need to be concrete as to how much money is required, what gap do we expect to fill, and the time framework;

2. Most importantly, I mentioned previously that Sudan still dives in the pond of corruption and money laundering. Though there are some laws in place, the Trans Gov failed to forfeit assets and persecuted money launderers. In other words, the Gov does not control the market.

3. If the goal is to emphasize the bond among the Sudanese people, the government should have begun addressing core issues such as peace sincerely and starts with criminal persecutions of the perpetrators and fully cooperate with the ICC.

Dr. Hamdok is desperate; he is not free in terms of leading the country forward, on the one hand, and he feels the pressure from the public that is expecting a lot, on the other. He couldn't communicate the challenges he faces to the public bcz he wants to maintain false hope.
