The left that backed Corbyn morphed into a hard-left dominated by cranks who demanded loyalty to the man above all else. It was toxic.

So-called âmoderatesâ largely adopted the left-wing economic policies that have become popular since 2015 (anti-austerity, nationalised industry, UBI..).
But they didnât adopt the crankery, antisemitic rhetoric, or dismal global outlook.
