WASH DAY TIPS
A Thread

We’re giving wash day tips. How to make it easy and quick. And less complicated. You don’t have to raid the kitchen to have good healthy hair.
Step 1: Ingredients Check

Some chemical-laden wash day products will strip your hair, leaving it dry and prone to breakage and damage. Our first recommended step is to ensure the products you use are hair-friendly. Avoid certain ingredients like sulfates and parabens
Step 2: The night before your wash day do a pre-poo treatment. This is when you apply a hair oil to your hair to avoid excess moisture stripping during shampooing.
Step 3: While pre-pooing (step 2) try detangle your hair and separate it into 4 and do a two strand twist. This will make washing easier. Using detangling creams will make this process easier. At this step, spritz some water onto your hair to make it less painful
Step 4: You should ideally shampoo your hair in 2-3 steps. Step 1 gets rid of product build up, and 2-3 are your cleansing washes. Make sure you shampoo your hair in parts, either split your hair into 2 parts or 4 per the detangling step.
Step 5: the next step is conditioning. You have 3 options here.
Deep conditioning - 15-30 mins + steaming (breaking or dry hair)
Normal conditioning - quick 5-10 mins
Leave in conditioner
If your hair is dry and breaking we recommend a deep conditioning treatment
Step 8: LOC IT UP. Do not miss this step. Add some oil and cream to your moist hair after washing. We have bomb creams and oils available on our website - http://shopbeautyontapp.co.za"> http://shopbeautyontapp.co.za
Step 9: Air dry your hair. Try avoid heat. You can either leave it to air dry and shrink- or you can stretch it out by doing a pineapple updo or two strand twist
You should ideally wash your hair weekly but can do it twice a month. Remember a good wash day routine can make the biggest difference to your hair’s health.
