Pandemic is showing us whose job is foundational to our society (mostly those needed to keep it fed & running) and whose job is a luxury

And how pay, both in money & status, doesn’t reflect that
This split is mostly along educational divide, but it is far more refined than that. There are plenty of high education jobs that are foundational: Clearly medical professionals, but also most engineering -- like logistics, civil, industrial, & the Agricultural & food sciences
