my partner and i just woke up to a woman sobbing in an apartment nearby and shouting “please don’t kill me.” she then ran down the hallway away from her boyfriend. my partner called the cops. they’re now here in the apartment complex. this is so scary.

cops left. she seems to be “okay,” at least physically, and is back in the apartment. we’re okay, just shaken up. PTSD coming back hard. going to try to sleep, thank you all for your kind and supportive messages.

hi all. we are waiting to hear back on whether they caught the abuser and he’s left the apartment. i am muting this thread- my anxiety and PTSD are out of control right now, and I need some space from what happened, but I do want to say thank you for all of the messages.
