静かな瞳から繰り出すダンスはセンス抜群!AB6IXのParkWooJinを徹底解説! via @YouTube

Came across this vid of a JP dance school instructor analysing Woojin's dance technique and it's really just filled with praises for him 🥰
I don't think I'll have the bandwidth to do a full line-by-line sub of this (it's 13.5mins adfklja) but if anyone is interested in some of the details, let me know and I can try to summarise it in portions later 🐦
Disclaimer before I start the thread: Some of the snippet videos I will be linking are KR subbed versions, but I’m translating based on the JP source! As with any kind of translation, there will be inevitable differences in nuances between languages~
0:25~1:39
About Woojin’s knee injury
1:45~2:24
Breathe, 0:05~
- Woojin’s attention to minute details in his expressions by closing his eyes for just a moment on the beat here
- Breathing out portion: again, no unnecessary exaggeration, Woojin has very good control of the flow needed here
2:25~3:24
Breathe, 0:20~
- Woojin executes 3 accent moves on the beat using his shoulders here
- BTS J-hope, SVT Dino also use these type of accent moves often
- Woojin’s clean execution here puts him in the same league as these other skilled dancers
3:25~4:14
Breathe, 0:30~
cont’d from above vid
- Another example of Woojin’s clean execution of the shoulder accent on the main beat when he makes a turn here, so you can really sense the rhythm of the instrumental through the movement of his entire body
4:15~5:14
Breathe, 0:35~
- Woojin’s rap flow: just like his dance, no exaggeration in his intonation and delivery, but still manages to draw you into his performance. A mark of a charismatic performer with sensibility
- Slight head tilt as an ending accent
5:15~
Breathe, 1:09~
- Woojin closes his eyes for a moment again here when tilting his head to the side, this adds a relaxed touch to this move
- For the next move, Woojin doesn’t simply pull his arms downwards; he pulls them towards himself for emphasis
~7:14
cont’d from above
- This extra detail from Woojin adds another dimension to the move
- In general, his movements are rarely executed simply on one axis and he makes it a point to have diff body parts face diff directions that forms a mismash of vectors to create depth
7:15~
Breathe, 1:27~
- Woojin parts his lips slightly when dragging out the word “~time”; skilfully uses his expression to match the beat
- He jumps back into the rhythm right after that without missing a beat in the transition
~9:00
cont’d from above
- After that, note that he adds an accent on the beat using his neck movement, similar to his shoulder accent earlier
- Being able to isolate different body parts to add this level of detail is once again testament to his skills as a dancer
9:01~10:10
Breathe, 1:34~
- When stopping his hand here notice how Woojin actually executes the stop with his entire torso, not simply his arm
- Shows a good understanding of how using his whole body here creates a stop that is more visible to the audience
10:11~11:44
Breathe, 1:40~
- Woojin’s footwork here demonstrates his experience in breakdancing
- Note the detailed vibration in his leg in the next step; compared to start of song he has escalated the amount of force he places in this part of the choreo
11:45~
Breathe, 2:57~
- “Dangerous scene” ok we stop here ✋
Overall:
- Compared to other dancers, Woojin doesn’t use very exaggerated expressions, but he’s extremely skilled
- All-rounder, can execute a variety of styles
12:17~
cont’d
- Adds details and variations in his moves that leads the viewer’s eyes to look at him
- Skilled at rap too, with a nice quality to his voice
- Gives the impression that he approaches choreo in a logical manner and thinks carefully about what to do at each point
~END
cont’d
- Feels like he has a lot more ideas that he hasn’t had the chance to show yet
- Arata-sensei believes that Woojin’s dance style will evolve in the future to something that places less stress on his knee, so let’s look forward to a upgraded version of his dance ☺️

The videos I attached are mainly for quick visual reference but I highly recommend that you follow my timestamps and try to watch the original video with the summary!
On a personal note, I really wanted to share the translation because I’m sure that I’m not the only one who has been concerned about how his condition would affect his dance, and this provided a refreshing and positive perspective.
Let’s continue to wait for Woojin 🐦💖
