I am not a party-political commentator and am non-partisan

I am happy to support competent, small-l liberals of any party

But

The UK has suffered from a lack of a properly functioning opposition since 2015

And a great deal of what has gone wrong in UK politics flows from this

The replies to this tweet evidence, if not prove, the point made

And it cheering that such replies will now be far less frequent
