Corbyn and Momentum had their chance - they took the wheel and drove Labour off a cliff. They failed the party, they failed the progressive cause and they failed Britain in a period when strong opposition was needed more than at any time in post war history.
Worse still - Corbyn enabled the ERG, hard right libertarian Brexit cause.
Starmer is not going to be an all solving miracle man but he's a huge leap in the right direction. Anti populist, competent, ferociously clever and articulate. He's the very antithesis of the feather-weight popinjay Johnson and frankly thank fuck he's won.
