Nigerian men hyperventilating on Joro's blog because of a woman wrote about how her husband raped her infront of their 3 year old daughter. And the men are so quick to shout this is Africa, the Bible says "submit to your husband".

"Submit to your husband"... But do you love your wife as Christ lives the church? Such big bullies, using whatever means they have to bully their wives.

The question that people never ask is, why does the Church (bride) submit to the Lordship of Christ (bridegroom)? Why is the Church in perpetual submission to Christ?

The answer is simple: because Christ gave His life for His bride (Church).

Christ's sacrifice for His Bride is perpetual, over efficient, more than enough, it is ever speaking and that is why the Church is in perpetual submission to Christ.

Not you men, because you have dropped some coins as "bride price", you now think the wife is your property.

So before you open your mouth to ask for submission, claiming that you own another person because of bride price payment, ask yourself if you have done or can even do all that Christ did for His bride (church).

I'd just add that the only accurate paradigm for marriage between man and woman is Christ (bridegroom) Church (bride).

All those husband is the Head wife is the Neck, CEO - COO, Pilot - Copilot comparisons are faulty and will inevitably lead to wrong doctrines.
