One thing I’m seeing from so many friends with children during this whole childcare-at-home thing is that men really do view their jobs as more important

Even when they are objectively... not

A thing that’s not being talked about enough during all of this is the burden on women

Anecdotally it also seems to be women taking on a lot of unpaid care work — shopping for relatives, picking up their prescriptions, that kind of thing.

Would love to read something on this. And also to see the gender breakdown of those who have signed up as NHS volunteers.
