I have an unsettled feeling about this picture, which I can't pin down.
I think it is do to with this being an actual, life threatening illness to many people, and presenting fear as such a negative response seems judgemental
We are in unprecedented circumstances,
cont.
with many factors beyond our control. For many people survival is going to be a good outcome, learning and growth can wait.
I'm not suggesting people wallow in the fear zone, and we need to help people reduce the influence of fear if it's causing problems.
cont.
But perhaps that's better achieved by accepting that some hoarding is useful, some complaining makes us feel better, not making people feel bad about their emotional response
I'd love to choose to be in the growth zone, but that's not realistic for me right now, and that's ok
