A lot of people CAN'T cosplay until they are in their 20's, when they have a disposable income to do so. Money to make/buy cosplay and travel to cons, etc.

Everyone likes to preach that "Anyone can cosplay regardless of _____" why not practice that statement yourself a bit more? https://twitter.com/neopomegranate/status/1246214900717891587
Who do you think are the ones producing and sharing techniques/tutorials and other ways to go about cosplaying??

Oh that's right, it's the older generation of cosplayers and crafters. Maybe try not to use age as an insult against said age group of people you are learning from?
Older cosplayers are the ones who created online wig stores catered to cosplayers. They're the ones who create patterns specific for cosplayers that can now be found in stores like Jo Annes. They're the ones who made this all EASIER for new people to get into cosplay.
If everybody who enjoyed anything YOU like now that seems childish/for young people stopped doing it once they got older THEN YOU WOULDN'T HAVE SAID THING THAT YOU ENJOY. THERE WOULD BE NO ONE TO CONTINUE CREATING/SPREADING IT.

Its not a hard concept to understand.
The mindset of "Once you get old you have to stop doing cosplay/liking anime, etc" is THE DUMBEST THING IN THE WORLD. Who do you think is creating the anime/manga you consume!?! I just-

It's such a dumb topic and I hope no one feels like they have to stop doing things they love.
Also who do you think are the ones running the cons you are going to? The ones organizing all these large events?

It certainly is not a bunch of teens.
