I absolutely love how mfs jump through so many loops and bounds to to to make Shanks (a swordsman) stronger than Mihawk just because it’s too difficult of a concept for them to understand that Mihawk (the world’s strongest swordsman) when we ALREADY know who is stronger lmfao

-had been using using his sword for 30+ years (but no not a swordsman and it couldn’t possibly be his strongest power)
-has legendary duels with Mihawk that had the likes of Whitebeard revering them
-is confirmed to have the highest level of ability with a sword

-challenged the ENTIRE navy with his SWORD yet somehow he was hiding something way more powerful because the navy is fodder to him.
-has used his sword on panel every time he’s assumed a combat position
-called a swordsman in the zoro novel

I’m supposed to believe THIS MAN who is very clerely a swordsman and has been one for over 3/4 of his whole life has developed a super secret technique/power that supersedes all logic and makes him the strongest swordsman in one piece. DESPITE the fact

That Dracule Mihawk has already been named the STRONGEST. No not tied. The STRONGEST SWORDSMAN. The man who has dedicated his entire being and existence to getting stronger and fighting every worthy challenger and has been granted the title of World’s Strongest swordsman

Is somehow. By some logic supposed to be weaker than the very man who is supposed to fall under his title because fans/stans and fake mihawk fanboys (drizzt) cannot accept that someone has dedicated themselves 100% to power and is now the most powerful in that demographic of men

This man is literally at the pinnacle. He was famous by himself BEFORE Shanks. Most of Shanks’ fame was because of him. And even after Shanks lost his arm and as he saw it ni longer worthy of his blade he kept pushing, kept training, and became the strongest in the world

But oh no it can’t be Mihawk. He doesn’t have the yonko title. He can’t be strong without territory right?Like that’s the 1st rule. No Yonko title. No strong. It does not matter that he has worked as hard as he has. Shanks has defied even the most sound of logic to be stronger!

The absolutely most disgusting part of it is the idea that Shanks developed aCoC to make up for the loss of an arm. When Oda never even intended for that! An editor made the change! Mihawk was ALWAYS going to be the strongest even when Shanks was meant to have two arms.

A change to the narrative isn’t going to grant Shanks extra abilities to make him stronger. It’s delusion and an egregious attempt to take the one thing away from Mihawk that his entire character is predicated upon. Just being straight POWERFUL. The MOST POWERFUL.

But alas he cannot get even that because , Shanks , a man who LOSES NOTHING from being weaker than Mihawk is supposed to be stronger than Mihawk, a man who LOSES everything by being weaker than Shanks.
