here& #39;s a late night question for twitterland:
My triggers and squicks are super common in fic and art and almost never tagged. Is it worth asking content creators to tag them? (i would have to ask....a lot of people, almost to the point that it& #39;s kind of embarrassing)

since people are asking, I am phobic about vomit/vomiting/gagging, so rough blowjobs are a trigger for me thatâs pretty popular.
Very rough sex/demeaning language (esp âslut, whore, etcâ) is more of a squick thatâs sometimes tagged but not often.

Itâs interesting bc the first used to be very niche and mostly in explicitly tagged maledom/domsub fics, but itâs recently become quite mainstream and therefore harder to avoid. Thereâs been so! many! popular fics Iâve closed out of bc it seems to be in everything
last note, but one of the biggest reasons Iâm into Reylo is the play on conventional power dynamics regarding gender thatâs not seen often in fandom.
I get that not everything is written for me, but I think thatâs why certain things are so nope for my tastes

ONE MORE THING
If I have to hear another person condescendingly say âoh you wouldnât have lasted on LJ/ff.net/geocities/bbs/etcâ Iâm going to scream. Itâs repackaged âspecial snowflakeâ language that ignores the fact that tagging makes the fandom experience safer and better

ALSO
tagging specific sexual acts/potential triggers will also allow more readers to find your fics, so itâs win-win! One personâs yuck is another personâs yum, and wouldnât it be great for the person who is jonesing for facefucking to be able to find it?
