im in a situation. basically my whole preteen& teenage years I’ve been on depo because they told me my ovaries were overworking themselves & if continued I wouldn’t be able to have babies later on. so i got on the shot about 7/8 years ago, never any major issues until now...
i thought my depo had failed me & i was dealing with a teen pregnancy. turned out to be a false alarm. so i immediately reported to my doctor and she says it’s my depo causing me these issues which include unbearable abdominal pain, my ovaries HURT, and uncontrollable discharge.
She put me on some type of pill for now and said to give it at least a month. if my symptoms do not improve then we’ll up the dosage, after that if there are no signs of progress I’ll have to either get off of birth control complete and risk my ovaries overworking and no children
or I’ll have to switch to a different type or method of birth control and pray that the outcome is different. pills aren’t a good idea, even with a reminder I still forget about my vitamins and allergy meds. I’m afraid to get the implant because of the risk of infection.
i just pray these new pills help with the symptoms but EVEN THEN the depo is constantly eating at my bones & weakening them. it’s just another side effect of the medication, along with nausea, drowsiness, weight gain, cramps, and a long list of other things women deal with.
idk i started this thread to ask my ladies for advice on what i should do. because i WANT kids later on in life, I really do. but i think I’m going to just ask everyone who’s religious for prayer. His plan is greater than I.
