Another update from me. Last Friday, I learned that one of my coworkers tested positive for COVID.
At the time, I posted here that I thought I had the flu, now I pretty sure that wasn& #39;t the case. I wasn& #39;t able to get tested, but I most likely had COVID myself.

However, I was one of the lucky ones that had mild symptoms. It has spread to around half of my coworkers.
My boss/owner went into ICU today, another manager developed pnuemonia, and several others have been out for week or more with similar symptoms.

I have been back at work since Monday. The store has been running curbside only with only 5 or 6 employees all week. It hasn& #39;t been fun, very exhausting.
PA& #39;s governor announced state wide lock down until April 30th. Life has certainly changed around here.

I& #39;ve been lucky so far. COVID presumably spared me from the hospital and I still have my job. People need to feed their animals.
This whole ordeal has been a real eye opener for several reasons.

Aside from the obvious fact that healthcare workers are heroes, this country runs on many underappreciated "low end" jobs that people rarely think about. But these jobs are incredibly important to everybody.
If you didn& #39;t have truck drivers, warehouse workers, people stocking shelves, cashiers, etc...we would be screwed. These are all the people that are still working right now so you can go out and still buy food and other necessities for yourself and your pets.
Some people recognize this and are really appreciative. But others still don& #39;t understand this and take it for granted. What would you do if these essential businesses were all closed?
