A thing I’ve come across today is that some people are always going to vote against their self interests and I can’t let that steal my happiness. People are so brainwashed to fear “socialism”or are so bound to the idea that “capitalism can set us free if the gov stop interfering”

Capitalism is killing us and the GOP does not care about you unless you’re a straight, white, rich, man. The evidence is all around us but people ignore it and stick to their guns. 2/?

I can’t necessarily blame them the people who benefit off of this line of thinking have done a very good job trying to cover up their nonsense. They are the economists, they’re the reporters, they’re the ones with the money to throw around to keep them in charge. 3/?

I can’t convince the two people I interacted with today who are in this line of thinking of anything. I can’t convince him we need the universal healthcare or that capitalism is killing us they’ve made up their minds. 4/?

I can help to get through to some other people it’s not completely lost cause but the end of the day they were people I’ll never be able to convince her how much evidence I show them. 5/?

The only thing I can do is vote, the only thing we can do is vote in numbers large enough to not be manipulated, in numbers large enough to make those changes other people are too scared to. 6/?

This thread is the result of me being so emotionally tired of seeing people vote against their own self interest. Voting against their own health and safety. I’m so tired. I’m not gonna give up though. I will vote and I will stay informed. That’s all I can really do. /end
