A very serious warning:
Whether you’re trans or not, do NOT choose Mirena IUD. My mom found multiple links that show mirena is in fact causing neurological disorders in people who have the implant. I don’t know if this is something that will affect me for the rest of my life
but let it serve as a warning to others to research ANY type of medical device before deciding to go through with it. If it causes you pain or side effects after the first week, don’t ignore it. Alert your doctor IMMEDIATELY if something is wrong, and if it’s urgent
enough, it’s safe to remove an IUD on your own as long as you know what you’re doing before you attempt removal. Do not be afraid to take matters into your own hands (with medical guidance) if you can’t find a doctor who is willing to help you. If you choose any kind of IUD,
be absolutely sure to have your doctor leave the strings long enough for self removal in case of emergency. I couldn’t find a single medical center willing to help me despite the fact i was seizing non stop for more than 24 hours. Be super fucking careful you guys.
Please retweet this thread if you can so it can reach as many people as possible. Mirena provides no disclosure for the fact that it has the potential to cause seizures and neurological disorders. You think it’s just a run of the mill IUD until you end up like I did.
