Holy shit! My dissertation defense was five years ago today - thanks to @KristinKuster for being a great advisor, and the rest of my committee (Erik Santos, Bright Sheng, Kevin Korsyn, and Ezra Keshet) were wonderful to me!

April 3, 2015 was also the start of my bachelor party and, at this time five years ago, I was probably starting to vomit up pickle-back shots

The next day, we went to a Detroit Pistons game against the Miami Heat, it was boring for the most part until the Pistons rallied back to win on clutch baskets by Charlie Villanueva and Reggie Jackson

Later that night, we were playing Goldeneye on N64 and my oldest brother was so drunk he couldn't get out of the vents in "Facility" - we DIED laughing

The following morning we had bloddy marys and watched "Snowpiercer", it was a truly excellent weekend
