We were fortunate to receive various donated models of the infamous intubation box and had an opportunity to test the different models @EMeduc @Sunnybrook Some lessons learned 1/3
2/4 A) Not all models are created equal. The OG model works fine but a little hard to manage the BVM; taller/bigger is better. B) make sure the hole is big enough to fit all sizes of arms.
3/4 C) it can be very restrictive- be prepared to ditch if difficult a/w.The flat pack models may be hard to clean all crevices. E) a clear drape over the other end can help with droplet spray
4/4 F) a side port is helpful for the assistant to access and...assist. G) practice, practice, practice! This is a new technique that shouldn’t be “just in time learning”
