I believe Donald Trump has committed a crime against humanity. And that he should finish his life in custody.

The select committees, state and federal prosecutions - and perhaps a military tribunal as former commander in chief - must be lawful and in keeping with our legal tradition as they unfold beginning next year. But they must happen. This can never be forgiven.

There are crimes of incompetence and inattention to duty. But there are also crimes of deep malevolence and intention. There must be a wave of prosecution.

Trump and his inner circle of conspirators knew - they absolutely knew. And they lied. The death toll will be in the hundreds of thousands. This can never be forgiven.
