How I make what you buy
*A THREAD*:
First we print a transparency of the artwork from the computer. Multi color artwork would have multiple sheets, each with only the pieces of the art that share the same color.

The towels are one color art and so one screen one transparency
Next we grab a screen pre-coated with emulsion out of the dark room.

They stay in here until they’re ready to be used for a job so the light doesn’t set the emulsion.
We line up the artwork on a straight line so it’s straight on the screen and tape it to the back
Then we put it in the exposure unit, shooting light from the bottom.

The transparency will block out the light in the areas we want ink to pass through, creating a stencil.
And once that’s done, we wash out the screen.

Areas exposed to the light that weren’t blocked out by the transparency will stay, areas that were blocked out will wash away.
Let it dry and boom ready to print.

Finish printing 1000 towels by 3 and you’re in the car on the way to the parking lot with the Orange Tent in tow.
I’ll film the printing process once we get all situated here.

Thank you all so much. You did this, not me.
