I want to take a minute to talk to you all about mental health. It& #39;s important. These are scary times, & if you& #39;re like me, you let way to many bad thoughts creep into your brain sometimes, especially when you& #39;re stressed.
Maybe it& #39;s thinking the worst every time your boss calls a meeting. Is this the day I& #39;m told they& #39;re letting me go?
Maybe it& #39;s stressing about your kids, what kind of world they& #39;re inheriting, will they have enough of what they need, & if they don& #39;t, will you be able to help them?
Maybe it& #39;s worrying about your family& #39;s health, and how they& #39;ll come through this. Whatever it is, what I want you to know is, it& #39;s okay.
Some people can& #39;t help but worry, & telling them not to is as useful as telling someone not to feel any emotion. So listen, it& #39;s okay to worry, & know that you& #39;re not worrying alone.
I won& #39;t lie to you & say I know things will be okay. Maybe they will, but they might not. But what I can tell you is, even if they& #39;re not okay, for the first time in my life, we& #39;re all facing it together, and it& #39;s okay to worry.
Just remember that at some point, you have to let go of that worry. You can& #39;t hold on to it all the time. It& #39;s impossible, & trying will kill you, so find your release somehow, whether it& #39;s a walk, your pets, a call to a friend, whatever. Find it & remember to do it.
Let go of that worry & stress for just a few minutes, every day. I promise, it& #39;ll still be there when you get back. Don& #39;t be ashamed of it, don& #39;t try to hide it, just embrace it, & then let it go when you can, because we will get through this.
It may be really tough, & it may not feel like it, & you may worry, but we will get through it, & when we do, the party we& #39;re going to throw as a collective race is going to be epic, & you don& #39;t want to miss that.
I& #39;ll see you there.
