It’s very nice of your boyfriend if he does! But he doesn’t HAVE to. This is ONLY for those who feel like because you’re in a relationship the man is now responsible for you. AHT AHT.
There are only TWO men responsible for you: Your biological dad and your husband. That’s why he “gives you away” at the wedding. He’s passing that responsibility of providing on to him. It’s kindergarten math honestly.
