Since I postponed it last weekend this weekend instead of doing something more practical like organising my wardrobe I am going to try bring some organisation to the chaos that is my book collection.
So dear twitter pocket pals - how do you organise your book collection? Do you know how many books you have? Do you keep track of them somehow?
This is the before picture of my main shelf (a very generous present my friends got me about 5-6 years ago)
Most of the books are mine, some are Erik's, non-book things on top of the shelf are mostly Erik's. Other things are a mix. I got my finger in the photo.

I sometimes forget that I have my books double shelved. Mess in the front, tidy in the back.
Taking a bit of a break as I'm tired so going to have a short nap next to piles of books on the bed.

Well by colour was the winner though I'm not sure how up to the task I am today so I am going to plan it out to do gradually.
