I do have a #gratitudejournal entry after all. My NYU colleagues know that about once a month I’ve been getting calls on my work phone every from a Spanish speaker who has clearly not figured out he has the wrong number.

My work line is set up to go to my cell while in quarantine, and like clockwork, my friend called me not once, but 4 times today. My roommate speaks Spanish way better than I do, and she explained to him that I am not, in fact, the Dr. Kelly he has been trying to reach.

He called back about 5 minutes after that anyway, so clearly there’s more than a language barrier. But my roommate is a saint for helping me today, so at our Friday cocktail hour we toasted my phone buddy, and that she and I we always look out for each other

Also sorry for so many weirdly inserted words on this thread, we in NYC are pretty exhausted
