I’m all for safety, enforcement, & education. DUI, Reckless, etc., no mercy. But maybe—just MAYBE—ask yourself if hanging $300 tickets for 11 over on John & Suzy Taxpayer while they’re worried about death, unemployment, food, & the mortgage is the right move. Maybe take a breath.

Everyone’s scared. Many are staring poverty in the face. We’re here to keep the peace. Calm others by keeping order & keeping our communities safe. Maybe give a warning or three. Ask your heart what’s important. Spirit of the law, letter of the law. Not can you, but should you?

We got this job because someone(s) believed & expected that we’d make the right decision at the right time for the right reasons. Put the citation book back on the passenger seat, cruise your area, and keep them safe. Write tickets this summer. If you’re still employed. Or alive.
