If you didn’t see the “subhanallah” controversy, imagine if ppl who’ve never heard slang argued that “cool” only ever means “cold” & called ppl saying it can mean something else liars.
Combine that with assuming Ilhan Omar is glad Americans are getting covid & thats basically it.

Siraj Hashmi gave a good explanation of it. Credit to him because he’s not exactly a fan of hers politically, and he has access to a conservative audience that is predisposed to believe the worst possible thing about everything Omar says.

People have criticised me for repeatedly defending Omar about certain things. Tbh I think she’s incredibly naive & needs a social media manager to take her phone away. But a huge chunk of people believe she’s a sinister scheming Islamist infiltrator which is stupid.
