I've said it before and I'll say it again, the @NIOgov are a disgrace. Imagine expecting people to travel to Eng during a pandemic? There are very few flights, no hotels & many clinics are closed. This is a service that CAN be provided at home and @healthdpt are choosing not to https://twitter.com/NIOgov/status/1246161202016894979
I also hate that they always make it seem like they are doing us a favour. The NIO actually told us we "can't have it better than England" & the fact they think it's normal to make people in NI travel at all for healthcare, never mind in a pandemic, shows you the contempt for us
The Draconian abortion laws that existed in NI for hundreds of years came from Britain. They cannot give us an abortion framework that treats us as second class citizens and expect us to be grateful because it's "better than what was in place" (what they actually said to us)
Of course anything is an improvement on literal LIFE IN PRISON for getting an abortion. That doesn't mean we should be grateful for the UK government implementing a provision that isn't fit for purpose. Human rights aren't devolved, despite what the UK government thinks.
