So... I had this idea after making the rainbow that I wanted to make one thing a day of lockdown to cheer folks up. But then I needed a background to put these things on.
First of all I thought I'd do something bright and flowery, so I tried out this pattern......

And I loved it. But then I wondered if my other stuff would get lost against the colours and sparkle...
So, I decided to look for a leaf motif and do it in white instead. I chose this one. It's my first time working from a chart, but this one was nice and easy to follow.
I would credit my source, but I originally got it via a google and Pinterest trail from a German knitting blog with a name in an unreadable font, and now I can't find it again. Eitsnummer? I have also seen it as part of this tunic pattern.

So, after one very big false start, and a lot of crocheting and undoing mistakes and re-crocheting...
My idea is to grow this by one leaf row every day until it fills the window, and to add one crocheted item every day. We're already on day 12, so I am crap. Luckily, here's some things I made earlier.
And a butterfly I made specially, from this pattern from Planet Penny.

So here it is, after some help from my partner to get it hung in the window. Zola's lockdown display, day 12.
It looks a lot smaller and more amateurish than I'd hoped, but maybe the bright colours will still cheer folks up. I'm going to try and carry on adding to it every day, but I have good days and bad days.
BellaCoco has a YouTube tutorial for the same rose.
Oh, and I should tag this thread #rainbowsofhope and #frommywindow. Stay safe and keep crafting, folks!
