I have quite a few. Most of them are already mentioned in this thread, but let's still break 'em down. Here we go https://twitter.com/MLBRandomStats/status/1245941956158664704
First and foremost, clutch is real. Stop kidding yourself. Anyone who's played sports and been in those moments knows it is. Just because it's not the most measurable thing doesn't mean you should dismiss it. It's moronic to
Second, many advanced stats overrate the importance of the sexy stats and underrate pitchers and hitters who are either contact pitchers or contact hitters. Saying anything outside of the Three True Outcomes is attributed luck is really, really dumb
Yes, extra base hits are important and make a hitter more dangerous. Yes, a higher K% for a pitcher is great. But getting too caught up in those stats and only those stats don't mean you know the game.
You don't love baseball. You're just staring at its ass as it walks by

Third, too many people into advanced stats (and only advanced stats) act like they know more about the game than others who played the game. On the flip side, too many players dismiss advanced stat heads as nerds.
There's a common ground. Find it

Fourth, batting average matters to a certain degree. It's not the golden stat it was through the 90s but it should still be useful. Park adjusted stats are great but you need to understand how they got there. Look at 2019 Joey Gallo vs 2017 & 2018. It helps
Fifth, the "Never bunt" movement is kinda stupid. In certain situations it can be very helpful. And every major league player should know how to do it. It's not all that tough
Sixth, WAR is too complicated for the average fan and the fact that there are 3 different types of it does not help it in any bit. If you want it to be mainstream, get together and figure out a more singular way to calculate it so it can be a mainstream stat
Those are the big ones for me. I try to find common ground on all of these and keep a POV of both how it looks in stats vs how it looks as a player. Some things will never make sense to either but at least work to understand it.
