Everyone’s finding it tough at the moment. Today was hard. But something happened that brought a bittersweet tear to my eye.

I was going about my business and heard some gentle rustling at our front door. I was intrigued. I peered through a window. It was an elderly couple. They did not ring the bell. [2/12]
I didn’t want to alarm them, so decided not to open the door. They did not want me to. [3/12]
Some time passed and it went quiet. I knew it was OK to open the door and see what was going on. [4/12]
This! [5/12]
The lovely couple had delicately arranged a number of beautiful plants from the garden centre on our door step. A note said “during these difficult times all of our customers have had to close their doors” [6/12]

I was deeply moved by this. Their small business has been hit bad by #COVID19. They were giving away all their immaculate & much cherished plants in the hope that they’d find someone that appreciates their beauty. [8/12]
I immediately raced down to road to try to catch the couple and at least pay them something. I spotted that all my neighbours had similar, lovingly arranged gifts at their front doors too. [9/12]
I found the couple at a neighbours house. My God. I overheard them discussing what plants the owners were most likely to want given what they already had in their garden. This was wonderful. [10/12]
People are amazing. I tried to pay them; they were reluctant to accept my money. Hopefully my friends that read this will one day pay a visit to Kirton Farm nursery when things are better ( https://www.kirtonfarm.co.uk/plants-for-people).">https://www.kirtonfarm.co.uk/plants-fo... They deserve the best. [11/12]
During these hard times, you notice the small amazing acts that people are capable of. It made our day, and our children were so excited - embracing their new & #39;subjects& #39;. The smallest things in life can make a big difference. [12/12]
