Dear Healthcare Leader (at every level),

The longer this drags on, the tougher it is going to get and the more people will need you.

People have asked, what can I do to maintain morale through this difficult time?

1/

You know what every great commanding general does in the midst of battle to help boost morale?

They show up.

On the front line.

Despite the danger, bullets flying, etc.

2/

Take a page out of the military leadership playbook.

Show up to the COVID units.

Show that you are willing to face the same dangers that everyone else is facing daily.

Hear people out...

Get them the PPE they need.

Tell them you care and that you are doing everything humanly possible.

4/

Once you do that...

Gown up, put on that N95 mask, hair net, face shield, and double gloves....and go in to a patient’s room and comfort them.

5/

I guarantee that will lift spirits.

People will trust you.

It will make a difference.
