Ok, we're going to do one tour every night. For at least 3 weeks.

That will also help me get through my birthday without going anywyere because we'll be doing a lot of 'virtual' travel!

First week, starting tonight, April 3rd: Giverny, France
April 4th. Munich, DE
April 5th, Courauld Institute, London, UK
April 6th, Shenandoah and our Farm
April 7th, Normandy, FR
April 8th, Basic Budapest, HU tour
April 9th, Oxford, UK
Ok, so today we're suppose to travel to Munich.
Maybe in 15min? 20? I'll need to compile my photos from this time as they're all over the place.
Alright, this will literally be all over the place, and probably be a lot more personally involved with my life, and include non-landscape things. So, bear with me, because this is probably not as interesting as OTHER places will be.
We moved to Munich in.. 2015? We had a great little 2-floor apartment, LOTS of light, and we were way out in the suburbs, but there were really nice places to walk.
Lots of hidden gems, older architecture, and generally, great weather.
And how could I not include the yummy yummy food.
Two of these were taken at our local bakery + cafe, and the other from a GREAT gelato + cafe
(gratuitous ice coffee), a path on our daily walk, and two pictures from a VERY interesting, and the only, animal shelter in the city. They had every sort of animal, but still, not a lot of adoption options.
I wasn't out a lot at this time in life, and I definitely didn't take a lot of photos.
I was... recovering, in a way. Our cat, who loved the wall-sized windows, helped.
But we also has SO many sweet neighborhood cats (as well as a neighborhood domesticated crow and a hedgehog).
Including this one, Muchi, who happened to belong to our neighbor.
Muchi, belonged to Michi. Michi lost his first wife to cancer, and Muchi belonged to his second wife, who had also recently passed away from cancer. He couldn't speak English, I couldn't speak much German, but Chris could speak both. Michi became our closest friend in Munich
He is an exceptionally sweet man, who absolutely adored both of his wives.
Their photos are everywhere around his house, as is the artwork of his second wife. She took up painting during her chemo treatment and I'm pretty sure everything she ever made is up on his walls.
That photo was us having him over for the US Thanksgiving celebration.
It was hard on me being away from home so long, at this point for 2 years since going home to visit.
My mom sent me carepackages that were amazing - when customs didn't seize them
Also? German Christmas can be scary, like.. there are some dark thinks, and early 20th century animatronics like this did NOT help that feeling.

This is why we had a lot of gluhwein.
Oh man.. Christmas markets and gluhwein...
About this time I started drawing again. I was at a like, 5 year hiatus from really caring. Or really trying.
So I'll finish with some pics of my studio at the time and some drawings, both serious and fun.
More sketches.
And this. You can get it in Germany, but also in Austria.
It's the BEST liquor-in-a-chocolate I have ever had in my life.
